With nine campuses in mid and west Wales, the College uses Enica’s automated meter reading systems to ensure that its water and energy consumption is manged and understood.

Enica installed and operates intelligent dataloggers connected to the main electric, water and gas meters across the sites. Data is sent via GSM to Enica’s online cloud-based eSight software system. This is available to view and analyse by the client 24 hours a day.

Enica provides full system maintenance for meter, logger faults and disconnections, and a monthly professional energy analyst views the data to identify potential savings. The service has identified water leaks, improvements to heating controls and opportunities to reduce out of hours electricity consumption. Consultants at Enica combine this metering service with practical site investigations which identify consumption patterns and problem areas.
